Today we made history by receiving a notice that a post about Niki Lanik is deleted due to terms violation. We didn't - there's no hate in it, or anything else. It's the truth. Actually I feel sorry for this guy.
And I'm sorry for the small core of 2nd generation Scientolgists in Taiwan. You guys can watch how sorry Niki is, sooner or later.
Niki 's comes from a Scientology family. His father is a die hard believer, publicly defending the cult against protesters in London.
His father is OTVIII, the highest level. If the record is not wrong, the family has a small farm near Saint Hill, the Scientology headquarter, once valued at UKP 300,000. It looks good but you cannot buy a decent house in any decent city with that. Typically, such high level Scientologists pay the cult houses after houses to get to their level of services. Niki could be living in a large castle right now if his father is not a Scientologist.
For a 2nd generation Scientolgists like Niki, if he has no other uses for the church, they or his father will ask him to join the Sea Org - a life of slave labor. Even the Chairman David Miscavige's niece is no exception. She cannot handle and blew, becoming a famous critic of the cult.
Generating good publicity for the cult will allow Niki to be free, and to avoid doing too much Scientology - after all the cult wants to distance Youth for Human Rights from them when it suits them.
Dustin McGahee will be in similar shoes. But he is not even good enough to make a promotion video for the cult.
All Niki did good was back in 2008, in the mini, cute Renault Clio cup, in Britain. This is not even an international race.
Then in 2009 he moved on to race in the European GT3. Taiwan has no Formula races but they have GT with two levels, professional and amateur. If the grade performances were equal in Europe and Taiwan, Niki aren't even good enough to race in Taiwan. But he is selling posters for US$30 and photographs for US$3, even to Taiwanese school children.
GT3 has over ten round of races per year. In 2009 he got to drive Porche cars. He was a main driver of his team, appearing in most of the races. His overall ranking was only 24! (according to one database) Because he appeared in most of the races, he got the most points for Porche, and therefore he won the Porche cup, even though Porche teams were very poor that year. His performance was so poor that his Porche team is dragged down by him. Niki had only 2 races the next year, in 2010, doing just as bad. But Porche did much better overall with other drivers driving more. He also had an endurance race, but also performed poorly.
Of course Porche dropped him in 2011. Niki only had only one endurance race in 2011. The news story is that Niki is a last minute substitute. In an endurance race, there are three drivers and they have no time to adjust the seats or seat belts. One of them is too large for the other two, so Niki got to drive once that was discovered in the last minute.
He drove a Lamborghini in the 2011 endurance race, good for camera but the car failed and did not finish the endurance race.
The chance that he can still drive in 2012 GT3 is nil. I think he is even thinking to drive in Japan or Taiwan, where he met some GT people. The chance that he drive anything in Japan is also nil. Taiwan GT? He is no famous brand if you look at his records. Fat chance.
That's why you can see the new video of his racing career. You won't see him driving Porches and Lamborghinis in the future. Anyway, GT cars are supposed to be of the same performance in the same level.
He claims to have two endorsement still. But I think if they send you a pair of free shoes, that's endorsement.
Niki had pretty good grades at school, but typically dedicated Scientology parents do not care much about their kids. He played with cars and now he is nothing. Sorry that his father spend a few houses worth of money on the cult.
By next year he will disappear from public life. Racing Clio is not an option and GT won't take him. He may have to join the Sea Org if his father is dedicated enough. Then he have to choose from blowing and join the dole, or waiting for his father to drop his meat body and share the tiny inheritance with his sister. A cheap farm house worth two cheap apartments?
