2011年5月30日，山達基公民人權委員會總裁西門珍（Jan Eastgate）在澳洲雪梨被捕，被起訴妨礙司法，臨時保釋，護照被沒收。多年前，一名11歲女孩被繼父性虐，媽媽發現後，去山達基教會處理而沒有報警，因爲全家也是山達基人。
女孩告訴了同學，同學告訴了她媽媽，這媽媽立即報警，是社會上唯一可以接受的做法。
西門珍恐嚇女孩，要她向警方說謊，否則他將被社會服務處帶走，永遠看不見媽媽和家人。此外，被性虐是因爲她前生做了錯事。
指證西門珍的有女孩、她媽媽、和當年與西門珍因此激烈爭論的山達基教會職員。
母女要討公道多年，去年有西奴風議員幫助，警方展開調查。
