Tax Laws Amendment (Public Benefit Test) Bill 2010
Information about the Inquiry
On 13 May 2010 the Senate referred the Tax Laws Amendment (Public Benefit Test) Bill 2010 for inquiry and report.
The Tax Laws Amendment (Public Benefit Test) Bill 2010 amends the tax laws to require that religious and charitable institutions meet a public benefit test to justify their exemption from taxation.
The closing date for submissions has not yet been set - please check this website for updates. The reporting date is 31 August 2010.
The Committee is seeking written submissions from interested individuals and organisations preferably in electronic form submitted online or sent by email to economics.sen@aph.gov.au as an attached Adobe PDF or MS Word format document. The email must include full postal address and contact details.
